Holding On (Colorado High Country #6) —
The Colorado High Country series returns with Conrad and Kenzie's story.

A hero barely holding on…

Harrison Conrad returned to Scarlet Springs from Nepal, the sole survivor of a freak accident on Mt. Everest. Shattered and grieving for his friends, he vows never to climb again and retreats into a bottle of whiskey—until Kenzie Morgan shows up at his door with a tiny puppy asking for his help. He’s the last person in the world she should ask to foster this little furball. He’s barely capable of managing his own life right now, let alone caring for a helpless, adorable, fluffy puppy. But Conrad has always had a thing for Kenzie with her bright smile and sweet curves. One look into her pleading blue eyes, and he can’t say no.

The woman who won’t let him fall…

Kenzie Morgan’s life went to the dogs years ago. A successful search dog trainer and kennel owner, she gets her fill of adventure volunteering for the Rocky Mountain Search & Rescue Team. The only thing missing from her busy life is love. It’s not easy finding Mr. Right in a small mountain town, especially when she’s unwilling to date climbers. She long ago swore never again to fall for a guy who might one day leave her for a rock. When Conrad returns from a climbing trip haunted by the catastrophe that killed his best friend, Kenzie can see he’s hurting and wants to help. She just might have the perfect way to bring him back to the world of the living. But friendship quickly turns into something more—and now she’s risking her heart to heal his.

In ebook and soon in print!

I-Team Casting Couch — the heroes

Moving right along — we have a production schedule to which we must adhere, after all — I think a couple of heroes are ready to be cast. But I need your vote.

For Julian Darcangelo, its down to fellow Italian, Raffaello Balzo. I love his eyes, which have Julian's coloring.

Or Eduardo Verastugui. I love his intensity and can see him playing someone known on the street as "Dark Angel."

For Reece Sheridan, a late-comer, Jason Lewis, who pretty much fits the description of Reece all around. No voting here. I'm just going to call this one.

And for Marc, either Henry Cavill

or Brazilian model Daniel Bueno.

So cast your votes, and we'll move on to the heroines. And thanks to all of you for the luscious photos you've been emailing me!

OK...I vote Daniel for Marc and Eduardo for Julian (although that is a really tough choice).

I'm loving Julian!! Yum! As I told you, I know you described Reece to be on the fair side, but I piture him kinda dark. That's my own private fantasy Reece *wink*

I'm going with Raffaello for Julian and Daniel for Marc.

OK, so far the tally is running:

Julian:
2 for Raffaello
3 for Eduardo
1 can't decide

Marc:
6 for Daniel
0 for Henry Cavill

One abstention caused by being too busy drooling.

OK, we'll see if anyone pops in to shake up this vote. If not, then it looks like we have our three male leads and we'll move on to heroines. I've got some suggestions in my email.

I hope everyone is having a great day!

Raffaello for Julian and Henry Cavill for Marc. I might like Daniel but not having seen him before, in this picture he has too much hair in front of his face to see him clearly.

Raffaello Balzo has gorgeous eyes.

Love your casting for Reece :)

Wow! So with Luci's vote, we're tied with Raffaello and Eduardo. I guess that means I break the tie, unless someone else posts super-fast.

In the meantime -- I have ADD, I guess -- I have cast everyone else, so I'm going to share the pics with you in my next post. :-)

And then we can move on to other topics.

I agree with all your casting ideas, with the exception of Jason. He cannot act. I just saw him in a movie where he had the lead - FARAWAY WEDDING - set in India, and watching his performance was painful!! Henry Cavill can recite the alphabet and he would get my vote any day.

I'm with you 100% on Raffaello for Julian. Perfect! Did a google image search to see more pictures(never heard of that guy) and had to lean back in my chair since my whole body went limp.

May I submit Ryan Reynolds for Marc? Not only is he gorgeous, but he has a sweet, vulnerable look underneath like I imagine Marc to have...

Hi, Wendy —

I just checked Ryan out. Nice physique for sure. And I could see him as Marc. :-)
