Holding On (Colorado High Country #6) —
The Colorado High Country series returns with Conrad and Kenzie's story.

A hero barely holding on…

Harrison Conrad returned to Scarlet Springs from Nepal, the sole survivor of a freak accident on Mt. Everest. Shattered and grieving for his friends, he vows never to climb again and retreats into a bottle of whiskey—until Kenzie Morgan shows up at his door with a tiny puppy asking for his help. He’s the last person in the world she should ask to foster this little furball. He’s barely capable of managing his own life right now, let alone caring for a helpless, adorable, fluffy puppy. But Conrad has always had a thing for Kenzie with her bright smile and sweet curves. One look into her pleading blue eyes, and he can’t say no.

The woman who won’t let him fall…

Kenzie Morgan’s life went to the dogs years ago. A successful search dog trainer and kennel owner, she gets her fill of adventure volunteering for the Rocky Mountain Search & Rescue Team. The only thing missing from her busy life is love. It’s not easy finding Mr. Right in a small mountain town, especially when she’s unwilling to date climbers. She long ago swore never again to fall for a guy who might one day leave her for a rock. When Conrad returns from a climbing trip haunted by the catastrophe that killed his best friend, Kenzie can see he’s hurting and wants to help. She just might have the perfect way to bring him back to the world of the living. But friendship quickly turns into something more—and now she’s risking her heart to heal his.

In ebook and soon in print!

Just for fun

My parents and my nephew Finnegan at Delicate Arch in Canyonlands

I love the American West. Those of us who are lucky enough to call it home know that the beauty of the place, the extremes of weather and variety of landscapes make every day an experience filled with beauty. This is from Canyonlands, Utah, not far from my parents' home in Southwest Colorado. I'm posting it just 'cuz it's pretty.

I'm working on Chapter 29 of Naked Edge today, hoping to finish it tonight so I can write the last chapter (let's hope it's the last!) tomorrow and the epilogue on Sunday.

Thank you all so much for your touching words and prayers for Connie and her family. She made a difference in people's lives while she was here, and, really, that's the best thing any of us can do.

Have a glorious day!

The South west is such a beautiful place. The scenery can change on a moment's notice and still be amazing. I miss New Mexico :(

Yay! NAKED EDGE is almost done! I'm jumping with exitement although it's not gonna be out till march'10.

*sigh* Well, just gonna have to wait.BTW Ms. Clare, just finnished RIDE THE FIRE, and it was awesome!!I loved it so much! I love Nicholas' and Bethie's relationships and understandings. It's just so awesome. I also LOVED the end. It's so heartwarming when the whole Kenleigh/Blackwell family all met again. And I actually had fun when you mentioned Benjamin Franklin, that was cool! It's the perfect ending for their trilogy. I just wished you would have add more Cassie time. I dunno, it's just that I keep remembering what she's been through when she tried to protect and then had Nicholas before. I just thought the two of them would have a longer mom-and-lost-prodigal-son moment. But all in all though, it was awesome!!
*downside:no more new books to read from you till March.LOL!

Good luck again with NAKED EDGE!
Have a glorous day too!

What a great pic of the southwest, Pamela. I just returned from the Ozarks, which is vastly different, yet both majestically beautiful. I hope you are able to find a bit of rest between such busy days and if I could be there, I would bring a big bottle of champagne for when you type "THE END" and are finished with NE to celebrate.
