Holding On (Colorado High Country #6) —
The Colorado High Country series returns with Conrad and Kenzie's story.

A hero barely holding on…

Harrison Conrad returned to Scarlet Springs from Nepal, the sole survivor of a freak accident on Mt. Everest. Shattered and grieving for his friends, he vows never to climb again and retreats into a bottle of whiskey—until Kenzie Morgan shows up at his door with a tiny puppy asking for his help. He’s the last person in the world she should ask to foster this little furball. He’s barely capable of managing his own life right now, let alone caring for a helpless, adorable, fluffy puppy. But Conrad has always had a thing for Kenzie with her bright smile and sweet curves. One look into her pleading blue eyes, and he can’t say no.

The woman who won’t let him fall…

Kenzie Morgan’s life went to the dogs years ago. A successful search dog trainer and kennel owner, she gets her fill of adventure volunteering for the Rocky Mountain Search & Rescue Team. The only thing missing from her busy life is love. It’s not easy finding Mr. Right in a small mountain town, especially when she’s unwilling to date climbers. She long ago swore never again to fall for a guy who might one day leave her for a rock. When Conrad returns from a climbing trip haunted by the catastrophe that killed his best friend, Kenzie can see he’s hurting and wants to help. She just might have the perfect way to bring him back to the world of the living. But friendship quickly turns into something more—and now she’s risking her heart to heal his.

In ebook and soon in print!

Win an advance copy of NAKED EDGE

Guess what came in the mail today? Advance review copies of Naked Edge! And that means...

IT’S CONTEST TIME!

I didn’t even know I was getting ARCs of the book, but here they are, all nice and bound and unedited. The author’s note, which I turned in at the absolute last moment, isn’t included, but the rest of the story, including the epilogue, is there.

So, in honor of Thanksgiving and in gratitude for your wonderful support, I'm giving away an autographed ARC of Naked Edge to one lucky reader. All you have to do is leave a comment, and your name goes in the hat. I'll pick the winner Sunday night, Nov. 29 at 9 PM Mountain Standard Time.

In the meantime, I wish you and your families a restful and bountiful Thanksgiving!

Blessings,
Pamela

Well here I was just taking a break from trying to wrap up my NaNo novel, and just go scrolling through to see who likes Bruce Cockburn. Voila, here I am finding a contest. Might as well throw my comment in. Congrats on your book--hope to be there myself someday.

Judging from the lack of comments today on my blog as well as others I'm thinking the next few days might be kind of dead. Oh well, I don't care, I'm still going to post my articles cause I've been trying to do it everyday. Go to my blog and you'll see.
http://tossingitout.blogspot.com/
I'm going to click on to follow your blog and I hope you'll do the same for me and leave comments too!
Anyhow, good luck and happy T-day.

Wishing you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I'm so happy to know that you're all excited about the release of this book. It took me more than a year to write, so I certainly hope someone is looking forward to it. LOL!

And, yes, you all from Australia, Canada and Malta (and other parts of the world) are definitely eligible to win. :-)

Arlee, I have to say that you have excellent taste in music! Cockburn is my fave. I've been fortunate enough to interview him several times and meet with him after shows. He actually had one of my books with him on his tour bus last time he passed through, which excited me very much. (And was terrifying!) I'll hop by your blog when I get this pie made.

Hi, Charina! Glad you reposted so I could know who "Sweetybabes" is. :-)

Thanks, Rachel! I hope you have a relaxing day!

Thank you, Kathy! You have a wonderful day, as well.

I love the cover too, Cherylnne. The color is prettier than what shows up on the computer screen.

Hi, Christine. I'm so glad you're excited for it! That's great to hear.

Hi, Cecile — I shall most certainly put your name in the hat. You have a wonderful and blessed day, too. Thanks for your good wishes.

Hi, JP — Sometimes procrastination pays off. LOL! Good luck with NaNo.

Hi, Erin — YAY! I'm glad you love the series so much. Julian seems to be a fave, for sure. Your name is in the hat. You have a wonderful Thanksgiving, as well. :-)

Aw, Lucy, thanks! ;-) And thanks for the Thanksgiving wishes. Sorry it's so hot there! Here in Colorado we're going to have a balmy 66 degrees today — like springtime. Stay cool!

Hi, Pam — Good luck!

Hi, Lesley, you're so welcome! No, Australia is not too far. The moon would be too far because flights there are so erratic and expensive. But Australia — that's just around the corner.

Hi, Wendy — Thanks and good luck!

Hi, Luci — Well, you can have a feast and be grateful any day of the year. Maybe you could start your own tradition. What are the biggest holidays on Malta?

Hi, Jane — Yes it was totally unexpected, actually. I normally don't get ARCs from Penguin. I can't wait to get my author copies. Then we'll have another contest. :-)

Hi, Linda — You must be so excited! I was wondering just the other day when the book would be out. Good for you! And have a great holiday!

Hi, Christina — Happy Thanksgiving to you too. And, yep, you're in the drawing. Good luck!

Hi, Kelseya — Thanks so much. Happy Turkey Day to you, too. :-)

Hi, Beth — Happy Thanksgiving! And thanks for entering. I'm so glad you're looking forward to reading the book. Good luck!

Hi, Wildcat — Have a wonderful holiday and thanks for entering!

Hi, Megan C — Thank you and good luck to you!

Hi, Rita — Yes, this is what you do anyway. But this tie it might win you an ARC. Thanks so much for all your visits to my blog. Have a great day!

Hi, Stef — So good to see you!!!! Books and chocolate — two of life's essentials. Yes, you have already read the story AND the author's note. Feel free to say something about it if you'd like. And thanks for your feedback and for helping me proofread it.

Hi, Penguinlo — Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family as well! Thanks for posting.

I'm off to make a shortbread pie crust...

Hi, Kristin — I hope you had today off, too. And thanks. We had a great day. We watched "Up" together. It was the first time I'd seen it and it was so sad! Thanks for stopping by and for entering the contest.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Sherri! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and a great birthday celebration. Marc is your favorite hero from the I-Team series or truly your all-time favorite hero? Either way, I'm sure he's stoked. He and Julian have such a rivalry, you know. They're always trying to best each other.

Hi, Ronna — Thanks for the good wishes and for entering the contest. I had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I hope yours was fun, too.

Hi, Alba — Thanks so much. I was with both of my boys so that's perfect for me. I hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful, too. And thanks for entering the contest.

Hi, Amanda — I love that turkey, too! I went in search of new art this year, and nothing could hold a candle to this goofy guy. So I decided to use him again. He makes me laugh. I'm thrilled you're excited about the book. Thanks for stopping by and for entering!

Hi, Tammy — Thanks! Your name is in. Have a great weekend!

Hi, Brett — Well, it's a good thing you saved room for that strawberry cheesecake. Dessert is the most important part of any holiday meal, I say. You're in the contest. Thanks for popping in!

Hi, Kristie, dear — You're in. And good luck! Any chance you're coming to RomCon this summer?

Hi, Bonfirez — I'm thrilled to hear you're enjoying my stories. That's so gratifying. Both historicals and I-Team books? Do you have a favorite book or a favorite hero? You're in the contest.

Hi, Rachel — I really like that holiday tradition. LoL! I hope Iain and the Rangers are behaving themselves. They can get out of hand sometimes. I hope your Thanksgiving turned out well. Thanks for entering the contest.

Hi, Pat — Thanks! I'm happy to hear that. March isn't to awfully far away.

Hi, Roselle — And welcome. I'm glad you're so excited. I love the cover, too. I keep finding new anatomical details on the hero. LOL! It's my wallpaper and it will soon be available for download off my website.

Hi, Lori — How have you been? I hope your holiday was fun. Berkley does such a fantastic job with the covers, don't they?

Hi, Sue — Thanks for entering. Good luck! I wish I had enough copies to give each of you one for the holidays, but alas...

Thanks, everyone, for taking the time to enter. Two more days and then on Sunday night, I'll draw the winner's name from one of Benjamin's fedoras. That's the tradition. :-)

Have no idea what time it is at your place, but it is 8pm here in HK. Just droppin in after a quick catch up of your posts.

Remember when we were talking in your kitchen about how you guys prepare eggs in the States for breakfast and how it's done elsewhere?
Well, the whole pumpkin pie thing is the same....

I ate pumpkin (you call the variety Butternut Squash) about two hours ago with my Sunday Roast.
As in beef, roast potatoes, roast pumpkin, steamed peas, Yorkshire Puddings and lashings of gravy.

As I am used to eating it as a vegetable, (Katie loves it steamed and mashed with potatoes) the concept of eating it as a dessert does my wee head in!

I have Canadian friends who have fed me Pumpkin Pie and it went down as well as the Vegemite toast did with them! To me it is just wrong! Kind of like a custard tart that tastes like...Sunday roast! LMAO!

I know logically there is nothing wrong with the taste, it is just that I eat it as a vegetable and can't enjoy it as a sweet. It is the same as having sausages, bacon and pancakes with syrup on the one plate. Ugh. Cannot!

Hmm, now thinking I should have emailed this rather than take up blog space. Anyways, tis done now and I have to jet. Can you believe K is 1 next week? Heh, miss being in your kitchen drinking red wine. Really should have em'd this one. oops! Ciao mia bella! J xx

Hi! It's Sherri, the birthday girl. I mean Marc is probably my all-time favorite hero-period. I have read Unlawful Contact more times than I can count. What a MAN. I just love him. Of course, Julian comes in a very close second. And I am sure that Gabe will rank right up there with them. I love the way you get inside a man's head.

Thanks for all the hours of reading enjoyment.

Hi, everyone,

I'm sorry I haven't drawn a name. I went out of town Saturday and came down with either a bad cold or the flu on Saturday night. So I'm staying with my Uncle Ray and Kat James and TRYING to sleep. I feel absolutely awful.

As soon as I am up and around again, I will draw a name and proceed. I'm so sorry not to be able to do it now.
