Holding On (Colorado High Country #6) —
The Colorado High Country series returns with Conrad and Kenzie's story.

A hero barely holding on…

Harrison Conrad returned to Scarlet Springs from Nepal, the sole survivor of a freak accident on Mt. Everest. Shattered and grieving for his friends, he vows never to climb again and retreats into a bottle of whiskey—until Kenzie Morgan shows up at his door with a tiny puppy asking for his help. He’s the last person in the world she should ask to foster this little furball. He’s barely capable of managing his own life right now, let alone caring for a helpless, adorable, fluffy puppy. But Conrad has always had a thing for Kenzie with her bright smile and sweet curves. One look into her pleading blue eyes, and he can’t say no.

The woman who won’t let him fall…

Kenzie Morgan’s life went to the dogs years ago. A successful search dog trainer and kennel owner, she gets her fill of adventure volunteering for the Rocky Mountain Search & Rescue Team. The only thing missing from her busy life is love. It’s not easy finding Mr. Right in a small mountain town, especially when she’s unwilling to date climbers. She long ago swore never again to fall for a guy who might one day leave her for a rock. When Conrad returns from a climbing trip haunted by the catastrophe that killed his best friend, Kenzie can see he’s hurting and wants to help. She just might have the perfect way to bring him back to the world of the living. But friendship quickly turns into something more—and now she’s risking her heart to heal his.

In ebook and soon in print!

The Great Book Give-Away — Update 3

I am buried.

Not in snow, but rather in books. Every time one of my novels is released, I get copies of the book, most of which I give away to readers in contests. Then, when the story is published in another language, I get copies of that, too.

Estoy enterrado.

Right now, my bookshelf is filled to overflowing with copies and translations of my books On the one hand I love it. On the other... Well, there just isn't room for any more books. With new translations coming out in Spain, Germany, Thailand, France and Norway — not to mention the impending release of Naked Edge — I need to clear some space.

That means I am giving signed copies of my books away.

First come, first served.

'Primero llegado, primero servido'.

Here is what I have available:

Auf Deutsch:

3 Kopien "Für die Liebe, Für die Freiheit" (Sweet Release)
1 Kopie "Kold vie der Tod" (Hard Evidence)
2 Kopien "Süß ist die Angst" (Unlawful Contact)

En français:

The copy of "Méfie-toi, Kara!" (Extreme Exposure) went to Christine. Enjoy, Christine!

En español:

2 copias de "Rendición" (Surrender). One copy is now on its way to Argentina.

(Hard Evidence)
(Extreme Exposure)

In English:

3 defective copies of Surrender in which part of Page 3 is unreadable
5 bound ARCs of Surrender full of the original typos and one spectacular copy-editor mistake (Zou?)
6 copies of Carnal Gift. Two copies have already been given away.

So what do you have to do to get your signed copy? Simply send me an email at pamelaclare @ earthlink.net (remove spaces) and tell me what you would like. Make sure to give me your mailing address. I’ll include a bookmark from Untamed.

It make take me some time to get them all mailed out, given that it’s the Christmas season and given that foreign postage isn’t cheap. But I shall do my best to get them mailed promptly.

(Megan, your ARC of Naked Edge is in the mail. You’ll probably get it Tuesday.)

I figure these books need good homes, and it's my way of sharing the holiday spirit with all of you. Thanks so much!

Will do, Debbie.

A couple of the CARNAL GIFT copies are now gone, along with one of SURRENDER.

That's the latest update, y'all. :-)

Hi, Pamela, I'd love a copy of Carnal Gift. I'll get my addy to you tomorrow. Thanks!

I'm so excited to get the new book! It will come at the PERFECT time too. I'm done with all school related things on Tuesday, so this means I will have tons of stress free reading time available!
Thanks Pamela!

That is awesome! I will stay out of this one as I have them both and LOVE them. However I know whoever gets them is in for some GREAT Reads! Get em girls!!!

OK —

Here's another update:

As of my bedtime I have:

4 bound ARCs of SURRENDER
1 first-edition printing of SURRENDER with a smudged Page 3.
3 copies of CARNAL GIFT
2 copies of RENDICION (SURRENDER in Spanish)
2 copies of "Süß ist die Angst" (German translation of UNLAWFUL CONTACT)
3 copies of "Für die Liebe,..." (German translation of SWEET RELEASE)
2 Japanese translations of HARD EVIDENCE
1 Japanese translation of EXTREME EXPOSURE

And that's it.

I've got a dozen books signed and waiting to be put in the mail to those of you who got your requests in this morning.

I expect the other side of the globe will be representin' here shortly.

Ask and ye shall receive. ;-)

OK, as of this morning, I wake to find I'm down to one, single copy of CARNAL GIFT, one defective copy of SURRENDER, one copy of Süß ist die Angst," as well as the ARCs of SURRENDER, two copies of RENDICION. I still have the three copies of "Für die Liebe..." and the three Japanese books.

Have a great day, everyone!

CARNAL GIFT is all gone.

But there are still four copies of the ARC of SURRENDER and one copy of SURRENDER with a smudge Page 3.

Pamela

OK, CARNAL GIFT is gone and "Süß ist die Angst" is gone, too.

I emailed you literally just a second ago. I wasn't sure if you still had any of the Japanese copies left but I would love to have one!

Hi, Zeek — Of course I'm going to autograph it! What fun would getting a book directly from the author be without an autograph? :-)

Hi, J. — I just emailed you back. You've got HARD EVIDENCE in Japanese on its way.

That leaves us with:

4 ARCs of SURRENDER
2 copies of RENDICION (SURRENDER in Spanish)
3 copies of "Für die Liebe..." (SWEET RELEASE in German)
And 1 copy of HARD EVIDENCE in Japanese. (I have no idea what their title for the story is.)

Thanks, everyone, for helping me make room on my shelves!

Pamela

Well, I have a bag roughly the size of Santa's pack ready to go to the post office. And STILL I don't have all the books packaged yet. I need five more envelopes, which I'll buy tomorrow.

Still available:

Three ARCs of SURRENDER
Three copies of "Für die Freiheit..." (Sweet Release)
Two copies of RENDICION (SURRENDER)

Thanks to everyone who's sent in their requests. This was fun! I'm not sure carrying this into the post office will be so fun. I'll need a wheelbarrow. :-)

Well, just have some of those lovely Rangers at your beck and call carry the books for you, Pamela! Oh, but that's a lovely mental image, a few bonnie Scots marching behind you into the post office, arms laden down with boxes. Can you tell I've been rereading Surrender and Untamed lately? =)

I just got back from an epic voyage to the post office. All but six of you have books in the mail on their way to places like Germany, California, British Columbia, Louisiana and Argentina. I ran out of envelopes, so I still have six books to mail. I'll hopefully get that taken care of tonight and have the books in the mail by tomorrow morning.

I wish you all happy reading. Thanks very much for your support!

And that concludes the Great Book Giveaway of 2009.

Glad the book got to you, Zeek. You're welcome! Happy New Year!
