Holding On (Colorado High Country #6) —
The Colorado High Country series returns with Conrad and Kenzie's story.

A hero barely holding on…

Harrison Conrad returned to Scarlet Springs from Nepal, the sole survivor of a freak accident on Mt. Everest. Shattered and grieving for his friends, he vows never to climb again and retreats into a bottle of whiskey—until Kenzie Morgan shows up at his door with a tiny puppy asking for his help. He’s the last person in the world she should ask to foster this little furball. He’s barely capable of managing his own life right now, let alone caring for a helpless, adorable, fluffy puppy. But Conrad has always had a thing for Kenzie with her bright smile and sweet curves. One look into her pleading blue eyes, and he can’t say no.

The woman who won’t let him fall…

Kenzie Morgan’s life went to the dogs years ago. A successful search dog trainer and kennel owner, she gets her fill of adventure volunteering for the Rocky Mountain Search & Rescue Team. The only thing missing from her busy life is love. It’s not easy finding Mr. Right in a small mountain town, especially when she’s unwilling to date climbers. She long ago swore never again to fall for a guy who might one day leave her for a rock. When Conrad returns from a climbing trip haunted by the catastrophe that killed his best friend, Kenzie can see he’s hurting and wants to help. She just might have the perfect way to bring him back to the world of the living. But friendship quickly turns into something more—and now she’s risking her heart to heal his.

In ebook and soon in print!

Final Countdown: 1 is for...

Today is brought to you by the Number 1. One is for... One man’s determination, one man’s love for a woman, one man’s astonishing sacrifice.

Gabe wasn’t looking to get involved with a woman. Especially not a virgin who believes in happily-ever-afters. (A virgin! When was the last time he'd heard that word associated with anything other than olive oil? He really can’t remember.)

But from the moment Kat enters his life, she begins to challenge everything he thought he knew about himself. She sees things in him that he doesn't see — which, frankly, scares the hell out of him.

When her investigation into events at Mesa Butte puts her life in danger, he can’t let her face that alone, whether that includes flying bullets…

Or much more stealthy and sinister weapons.

Keeping Kat safe will take every bit of his strength… and his courage…

And before it’s all over, he’ll find himself willing to make the ultimate sacrifice to keep her alive.

It seems that somewhere along the way, Gabe fell in love.

“There is no greater sacrifice than when one lays down his life for another.”

That brings us to the end of our countdown. Now only hours remain until Naked Edge is released in bookstores. I spent more than a year working each and every day on this book, and I hope with all of my heart that Kat and Gabe’s story will be one that stays with you for years to come.

I preordered mine months ago and now I find out it'll take about a week after March 2 before I get it. That....really annoys me. I just might have to stop at the bookstore tomorrow and grab another one. I don't think I can wait a few more days :(

Yay, Pamela!

I'm so excited and excited for you that NE is finally coming.

It's kind of silly, but just from reading your excerpts, I know that NE is going to be a keeper.

Congratulations!

I have read and loved all of your I-Team books prior to Naked Edge, but Reese always remained my favorite of the heroes. Well after reading Naked Edge, Gabe shot to the top of my list. I loved the emotions he's fighting throughout the novel, his sense of humor, his tenderness with Kat and his respect of her culture - the list goes on and on! This book was so worth the wait. Thank you for giving us such a wonderful story!!!

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feelings about the book. I'm so glad you felt it was worth the wait! I'm glad, too, that Gabe touched you the way he has. :-)
