From what I've read about him, you have one heck of a kid there. You are very lucky!

And I'm so glad you got to hang with your old professors. It's cool to still maintain a friendship even after you have left school.

Again, Happy Birthday, sweetie!!!

Hugs!Rosiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09902436240578859128noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38836389.post-51026452138538794852007-03-01T19:52:00.000-07:002007-03-01T19:52:00.000-07:00Thanks, Debbie, Karen and Patti. :-)Sadly, my trip...Thanks, Debbie, Karen and Patti. :-)

Sadly, my trip just got cancelled. They're expecting snow and blowing snow in the mountains, and the passes between here and Glenwood are restricted. We decided we'd rather wait until spring than worry about one of us getting killed in a car wreck.

But I'm bummed. I was sooooooo looking forward to the time away and to time with my mom. She's facing some health concerns, and that's one of the reasons we wanted to do this now, just to do it and have the memories now.

I guess I'll stay home from work tomorrow anyway and write. Not as fun as soaking in natural hot springs with my mom, but that's what happens when you live in the mountains.

Debbie, I'm so sorry for your losses. You, too, Karen. :-(

I'm very lucky to have both parents. My mom and dad are 63 and very active. l've often thought they'll outlive me.

Patti, so good to see you!!! I hope all is going well with your writing and that you're not pushing yourself too hard.Pamela Clarehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09308504469372100650noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38836389.post-51367146586068807602007-03-01T19:26:00.000-07:002007-03-01T19:26:00.000-07:00Pamela,Happy sort of birthday to you!!! It's weird, it kinda feels like you're an adult orphan.

Anyway, on to happier thing. Pamela, have a GREAT time. I don't know anyone who deserves a little get-away more than you do.

Have fun with your mom.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38836389.post-16399447315935759292007-03-01T15:00:00.000-07:002007-03-01T15:00:00.000-07:00Happy Birthday to you again!!! I love getting flow...Happy Birthday to you again!!! I love getting flowers, especially when you get them at work! That was really nice of the ladies to take you to lunch, it means so much to stay in touch with those who believed in you when you were struggling.

Ben is such a sweetheart! I'm glad you had a great dinner with someone you love.

Cherish all the moments you can get with your parents. I'm 51yr old and have in the last 5 years lost both of my parents with my mother passing last Nov. Take lots of pictures, give lots of "I Love Yous" and lots of hugs!! Enjoy the the time away to recharge your batteries. You certainly deserve the time off.Debbie Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16833523307815933715noreply@blogger.com
