Holding On (Colorado High Country #6) —
The Colorado High Country series returns with Conrad and Kenzie's story.

A hero barely holding on…

Harrison Conrad returned to Scarlet Springs from Nepal, the sole survivor of a freak accident on Mt. Everest. Shattered and grieving for his friends, he vows never to climb again and retreats into a bottle of whiskey—until Kenzie Morgan shows up at his door with a tiny puppy asking for his help. He’s the last person in the world she should ask to foster this little furball. He’s barely capable of managing his own life right now, let alone caring for a helpless, adorable, fluffy puppy. But Conrad has always had a thing for Kenzie with her bright smile and sweet curves. One look into her pleading blue eyes, and he can’t say no.

The woman who won’t let him fall…

Kenzie Morgan’s life went to the dogs years ago. A successful search dog trainer and kennel owner, she gets her fill of adventure volunteering for the Rocky Mountain Search & Rescue Team. The only thing missing from her busy life is love. It’s not easy finding Mr. Right in a small mountain town, especially when she’s unwilling to date climbers. She long ago swore never again to fall for a guy who might one day leave her for a rock. When Conrad returns from a climbing trip haunted by the catastrophe that killed his best friend, Kenzie can see he’s hurting and wants to help. She just might have the perfect way to bring him back to the world of the living. But friendship quickly turns into something more—and now she’s risking her heart to heal his.

In ebook and soon in print!

I-Team Trivia, Round III

I am so sorry to have vanished. The paper got unexpectedly busy. I had a special edition dropped in my lap. When you're going to press Wednesday and by Monday have no clue what's going in the paper, you have some long hours ahead of you. Trust me on this.

I'm also very behind on emails. I apologize and hope to catch up soon!

First, before we move on to Round III, let's look at how the cumulative scores add up:

First Place — Ronlyn
Second Place — Steff
Third Place — Christi
Fourth Place (still tied) — Jenn and Tena

For Round II alone, Ronlyn and Steff tied, Christie came in second and Jenn and Tena tied for third.

What you have to know is that these scores are separated by single points and, in one case, a half point. So it's very close, with Ronlyn a nose ahead of the competition.

And here are the answers to Round II:

1. What does Kara call Reece’s sister?
Malibu Melanie

2. What kind of weapon does Julian carry normally?
A .357 SIG Sauer — the weapon of choice for federal law enforcement

3. What’s the name of the prison-made tool Marc uses to break out of handcuffs?
A shim

4. What’s the name of the chief of police in this series?
Chief Irving

5. What’s the name of the strip club Julian visits under cover where girls are being used as sex slaves?
Pasha's

6. What is Sophie’s favorite way to make chocolate chip cookies?
Chipless chocolate chip cookies (everyone got this one right — LOL!)

7. What are the two names of the corporation behind the pollution in Kara’s investigation and Reece’s tire-burning bill?
TexaMent and Northrup.

8. What is the name of the gang leader who warms to Tessa and helps her unravel the identity of the villain?
Syko

9. Where do Marc and Sophie first make love?
Colorado Monument

10. What last name was Tessa born with?
Tessa Bates. Her full name is Tessa Marie Bates.

And now for Round III questions (drum roll):

1. What variety of martial art does Julian practice?

2. Where did the whistleblower first ask Kara to meet him?

3. What did Tessa get accused of trying to steal as a little girl?

4. Where was Alexi Burien born (town and country)?

5. What kind of weapon does Reece carry in his briefcase when he realizes Kara’s life is in danger?

6. What’s the name of the secret operation lead by Julian that frees the sex-trafficking victims at Pasha's?

7. Who taught Marc the ins and outs of sex (be specific)?

8. Where does the newspaper hide Kara after she’s attacked in her home (be specific)?

9. What is Sophie’s phobia?

10. What does “el-wop” mean?

Good luck!!! Please get your answers into my email Inbox by no later than 11:59 PM on Sunday!

Thanks for taking the time to do this for us, even when you're busy Pamela. It's really fun and that way I have an excuse to spend more time with Reece Julian and Marc. (like I feel I need one ..)
Hope you can get a break and relax a bit now.

Boy, PC...these are pretty tough questions...I am not even going to try!

Here is a trivia question for you...What does PGB stand for???

Sue

You're so welcome, Stef! I wish I did a better job of keeping up. I'd love to have the most entertaining, informative and scintillating blog on the Web, but, yeah, that would require me to have a clone and a better imagination probably. LOL!

I'm glad you're enjoying spending time with "the guys." *sigh* Me, too!

Hi, Ronlyn, I'm glad you're enjoying it. You're certainly doing well. I'm impressed. Kickin' ass and takin' names. :-)

Hey, SueZAY! That IS quite the trivia question. Anyone want to venture a guess? And no one who is a "GB" can answer!

I wish all authors did something this fun and give the readers who buy their books a chance to win something, from their favorite author. Thanks too for taking the time from your jobs as mother, author and journalist to give us some fun. Thanks again have a great 4th of July And I think PGB stands for Persatuan Gerak Badan but could also mean a couple of other things dealing with computers,

This has been fun even though I almost missed out of Round II, but after single-minded researching I managed to get my answers in and get most of them right. Can't seem to hang with Ronlyn though. LOL. But, I am ready for Round III...

Ronlyn said...

ah Christi, you can hang with me. We'll have margaritas and throw a party.
:)
My son, Sammy, has taken an interest in the whole concept of contests and has been enjoying writing a contest of his own we've been sending to his grandparents. "Auntie Pammy" is an inspiration in my house. *G*

kicking ass, taking names...that's what I'll put on my business cards. :)

Sounds Good Ronlyn! Have you ever tried a Harry Margarita???

1 can sprite
1 can frozen Lime-aid
1 bottle of Corona Lite
then fill the empty frozen limeaid container with a Gold Tequila, mix in pitcher, serve over ice...
Enjoy! but watch out they bite!

Have a good one! Christi

just wanted to wish you and everyone else who reads this a happy 4th of july I hope you got to spend it with family and friends and someone you care for,

Hi, Tena, a happy 4th (though a bit late) to you, too! I hope everyone had a good and safe time. And thanks for your sweet words. I love doing fun stuff with all of you, and I hope it's fun for you, too!

Hi, Stef. As for the meaning of PGB, that's interesting, but, um, no.

Christi, you did a great job! It was fun having you play. And that Harry Marg looks good to me. I need to spend more time drinking, clearly.

Ronlyn, Sammy is adorable. I'm glad to have inspired him. I hope his grandparents are acquitting themselves well in whatever contest he dreamed up for them. Does it involve the Wiggles?

As for PGB, it stands for Pygmy Gangsta Bitch. There are two people who are the PGBs. And one of them posts here regularly. It's a descriptive term for two of my friends who are rather — how shall I say it? — short. But they ganstas, too. ;-)
