Your son did a great job. You know, I live in NY and NEVER knew of any of those places. It looks very interesting! I would love to go to Colonial Williamsburg one of these days. I love historical places.

And just so you know, if I was lost in a car with my girls and didn't have my coffee, I'd be much, much worse, lol.

I have to admit :::blushes::: that my son edited that video carefully. If he'd kept it going, you'd have heard a bit of profanity. I know he must have enjoyed getting that tidbit in because for the next three days, he and my mother would joke, "For God's sake, get her to a Starbucks!" Or I would see a coffee shop, and they would say, "Oh, it's closed. Didn't you see the sign?" And it would be open. They were just teasing me.

New York has some real treasures. Go north to Fort Edward. That's where Rogers Island is. If you need info on any of it, please let me know! Further north is Fort George, where Fort William Henry is located and the southern end of Lake George. About an hour north of that is Fort Ticonderoga/Carillon. It's all amazing!

Maybe one day I can take a bunch of you with me and to a tour!

Ben did a great job! And I guess he did some editing because honestly you didn't sound that bad to me. But that's probably because I've a sailor mouth with or without coffee.
I've always wanted to go to NYC (when I have money, ha!)but I think that now I'll have to plan to go up north too and visit the Forts. I didn't even know there were places like these to visit.

Hi, Stef — Yes, he did do some editing. At one point I started dropping F-bombs, so I'm grateful for his very forgiving editing job. New York is an amazing state. You have NY City, which is huge — the ultimate metropolis. Then you have upstate NY, which feels like the middle of nowhere, no matter where you are, even more so than Colorado's empty reaches. I was really surprised. But it's quite beautiful and full of historical sites. I want to go back very soon. And thanks for your kind words about the video. I got a kick out of it.

LOL Looks like you got to enjoy some normal Upstate Fall weather, Rain. If it was State Route 28 you were looking for I travel that religously to visit my grandfather but much farther down state then where you were at. Great Video!

Yes, upstate New York is GORGEOUS. We take the kids up there every so often to a little petting zoo. The drive alone is beautiful.

It's a shame, most people who come here as tourists do so to see the city. Listen, I look at the city everyday and it isn't THAT spectacular. Crowds, honking horns and people cursing each other. Nah, I'll pass.
