Holding On (Colorado High Country #6) —
The Colorado High Country series returns with Conrad and Kenzie's story.
A hero barely holding on…
Harrison Conrad returned to Scarlet Springs from Nepal, the sole survivor of a freak accident on Mt. Everest. Shattered and grieving for his friends, he vows never to climb again and retreats into a bottle of whiskey—until Kenzie Morgan shows up at his door with a tiny puppy asking for his help. He’s the last person in the world she should ask to foster this little furball. He’s barely capable of managing his own life right now, let alone caring for a helpless, adorable, fluffy puppy. But Conrad has always had a thing for Kenzie with her bright smile and sweet curves. One look into her pleading blue eyes, and he can’t say no.
The woman who won’t let him fall…
Kenzie Morgan’s life went to the dogs years ago. A successful search dog trainer and kennel owner, she gets her fill of adventure volunteering for the Rocky Mountain Search & Rescue Team. The only thing missing from her busy life is love. It’s not easy finding Mr. Right in a small mountain town, especially when she’s unwilling to date climbers. She long ago swore never again to fall for a guy who might one day leave her for a rock. When Conrad returns from a climbing trip haunted by the catastrophe that killed his best friend, Kenzie can see he’s hurting and wants to help. She just might have the perfect way to bring him back to the world of the living. But friendship quickly turns into something more—and now she’s risking her heart to heal his.

Pardon our dust — I-Team Reading Challenge
Howdy!
I just wanted to apologize for not keeping up better with the blog lately. Not only is work busy, but I ran into some complications with my neck. I’m now taking prednisone and painkillers to get that back on track.
But it has put me behind in my writing and in rolling out all the fun I had planned to celebrate the upcoming release of Breaking Point.
Only 33 days and 16 hours to go as I write this!
Still, thanks to some help from my sister and some friends, things are moving forward. So here’s what’s under construction:
I-Team Trivia: These are some tough questions! Plus, there will be a section of matching the hero/heroine to the quote. You think you know Julian? Is Marc your man? Have you got Gabe down? We’ll see.
I-Team Hero/Heroine Interviews: This is always lots of fun. We can sit down and check in with them and see what they have to say about and to each other.
There will be prizes for winners, including signed copies of Breaking Point, the chance to appear in the next I-Team novel, an exclusive opportunity to preview Defiant and more.
If Jed Hill answers the questions I sent him, we could have an interview with him. I do plan to contact the former U.S. Marshal I interviewed for this story and see if she’d be willing to answer some questions for you all.
So pardon our dust and the various delays and stay tuned! Much fun to come!
Recent poll results: As the latest poll, about the use of words like “pu$$y” finishes out, I thought I’d comment on the fact that 100 out of 130 voters want to see Holly’s story. So here’s my promise: If my publisher doesn’t want it, I’ll write it for release as an e-book.
If you want to discuss the issue of words like “pu$$y” in romance, hop on over to my Facebook page, where a rousing discussion is underway.
Have a great day, everyone!

I do hope your neck gets better with the medication...no more surgeries and no more pain
waiting for it all...i am (hopefully) up for the challenge...and the countdown (33days) i am excited..
can not wait for the fun to begin
my wireless keyboard tends to forget every 3 - 4 characters...it is exhausting having to go back and fill in the blanks or look like an idiot...so sorry for any mistakes
You know, I didn’t need an excuse to re-read those books, but now I’m afraid I’m gonna have to, because those prices sound really good! But I think one of the prices should be a picture of Jed naked with the winner photoshopped into it, well, a new and exclusive picture I should say, because I may or may not have done it already with one of the old ones…
I'm so sorry to hear about your neck problems. I sure hope you feel better soon.
I am ready for the I-Team Trivia. I am a self-proclaimed I-Team expert. I've read the books too many times not to be!
I've re-read the I-Team series recently but when there's about 10 days left before BP, I am gonna re-read them again & hopefully finish NAKED EDGE right when BREAKING POINT is released.
Speaking of BP, I (like all your other I-Team fans) am counting down the days. 33 days seems like forever right now! I can't wait to get that book in my hands!
Aw,I hate that your neck is giving you fits,I really hope it calms down soon and you feel better!
So excited for Breaking Point! Hard to believe that it's only 33 days(long days!) away! I can't wait for the I-team trivia either, thats going to be super fun.
If/when Holly gets her book,I'll definitely be first in line to get it whether it's ebook or in print!
Speaking of ebooks,I just bought 'Heaven can't wait' and I am gnawing at the bit to dig into it tonight!
Bring it on!! LOL And, um, is Jed going to have time to answer all those questions? I mean, aren't you leaving for your honeymoon??? Honeymoon with Jed Hill. Doesn't that phrase just make your knees turn to Jello???
Sending healing for that neck. Hope you feel better soon. And know that I am waiting in great anticipation for your latest book! Woot!!!

I wish the dust in my house looked like that! I wouldn't clean EVER again :)
I hope you begin to feel better soon. I've been working my way through the I team books, and have to say that I think you should write Holly's story too, with or without your publisher. I'm reading Naked Edge know and don't know what I'll do when I am done and don't have another one to pick up right away :(
Can't wait for the challenges and interviews...sounds like sooo much fun!
Hi, Chele — Thank you! It was a drag to have reached a point where I was truly feeling better and then to be thrown backward again. I had a couple of days of real despair over it.
I'm compiling these I-Team trivia questions and trying to come up with 30 days of exciting fun to get us through to the release date. Not far away now!
No worries about mistakes. Wireless keypads suck.
Hi, Brie — What an interesting idea for a prize! Sadly, Mr. Hill doesn't do nude shoots. If he did...
I hope you enjoy rereading the books. The challenge expires on April 15. If you've re-read them all by then, you're eligible to participate. And that would just be cool!
Hi, Tonya — An I-Team expert! Excellent! We're going to need one of those around here. LOL! My team is really nit-picking through the books because last year's trivia game was waaaaaay too easy. Everyone got everything right.
I'm working on lining up other prizes, too, so I'll keep you all posted.
I'm so glad you've enjoyed the stories enough to read them that many times. Goodness!
And thanks for the good thoughts. Basically, I went in for a routine mammo, and the tech wanted me closer to the machine. She just reached from behind and turned my head. Now, there are bone grafts, implants, two plates and several screws in there, and the surgery is only six months old. It was SO painful. I shrieked, but she didn't listen. I was fixed to the mammo machine — can't go anywhere with your boob smashed in there, you know? — and afterward I told her she really hurt me. She said, "Well, you know when you have surgery, sometimes that part of your body is never the same." And I wanted to smack her. So it's been lots of pain and neuropathy since then. And I hadn't had much neuropathy since getting the surgery done. So this is the most pain I've been in since the first couple of weeks after the surgery.
Grrr!
Hi, Landipan — Thank you! Me, too! I'm read to feel better 100 percent of the time.
I predict you are going to enjoy HCW quite a bit. How fun that you hadn't read it yet!
As for Holly, I guess we'll have to see what happens. But I adore her. So thanks!
Hi, Diane — Oh, that phrase makes me need a cold shower, I think. I was telling Ronlyn I need all of you to be there as bridesmaids to keep the groom from escaping. LOL!
Hi, Denise — Thanks so much on both accounts. I hope BREAKING POINT lives up to people's expectations. You just had a book come out a couple months ago — Marshall's Law. I hope that's gone really well. And that December 2011 release — is that ancient Rome? Tell us about it!
Hi, Booklover — I'm so glad you're enjoying the stories. This was your first time through them, wasn't it? A lot of participants in the challenge are re-reading, but you were new to the series, I think.
When you finish NE, you'll have some fun stuff to distract you here. Plus, as soon as my author copies arrive, I'll be sending out prizes. Who knows? If the Contest Randomizer picks you, you might not have to wait 33 days. :-)
I hope it will be lots of fun for everyone.
I'd like to sign up for the reading challenge! I've already read the books, infact I just finished Naked edge two weeks ago!
I think that out of all of them I love NE the best,Gabe's just so freaking hot!
