Holding On (Colorado High Country #6) —
The Colorado High Country series returns with Conrad and Kenzie's story.

A hero barely holding on…

Harrison Conrad returned to Scarlet Springs from Nepal, the sole survivor of a freak accident on Mt. Everest. Shattered and grieving for his friends, he vows never to climb again and retreats into a bottle of whiskey—until Kenzie Morgan shows up at his door with a tiny puppy asking for his help. He’s the last person in the world she should ask to foster this little furball. He’s barely capable of managing his own life right now, let alone caring for a helpless, adorable, fluffy puppy. But Conrad has always had a thing for Kenzie with her bright smile and sweet curves. One look into her pleading blue eyes, and he can’t say no.

The woman who won’t let him fall…

Kenzie Morgan’s life went to the dogs years ago. A successful search dog trainer and kennel owner, she gets her fill of adventure volunteering for the Rocky Mountain Search & Rescue Team. The only thing missing from her busy life is love. It’s not easy finding Mr. Right in a small mountain town, especially when she’s unwilling to date climbers. She long ago swore never again to fall for a guy who might one day leave her for a rock. When Conrad returns from a climbing trip haunted by the catastrophe that killed his best friend, Kenzie can see he’s hurting and wants to help. She just might have the perfect way to bring him back to the world of the living. But friendship quickly turns into something more—and now she’s risking her heart to heal his.

In ebook and soon in print!

Come to the I-Team party and meet me and Kaleo Griffith!

I can’t believe how long it’s been since I last posted anything on this blog.

I did finally finish Striking Distance and turned it in. My editor got back to me last week and said she loved it, which took the weight of the world off my shoulders.  I’m still waiting for a final cover, which, of course, I will share with you. This was one of the toughest books I’ve ever written, very complicated and requiring a lot of nuanced planning, but my editor said it was definitely worth the wait.

Striking Distance will be out on November 5! Watch for excerpts soon!

In the meantime, it somehow became July. Say what?!?! No, seriously. It’s July, and I’m chasing my tail trying to catch up. I’ve spent the better part of two weeks trying to clean and reorganize my office, focusing on the monstrosity that is my desk, and am finally making some progress.

But more than that, I’ve been getting ready for the Romance Writers of America conference being held in Atlanta, Ga., July 17-20. I wanted to invite you to a couple of events.

RWA “Readers for Life” Literacy Book Signing  — Wednesday, July 17, 5:307:30 p.m. in the Atrium Ballroom A-C of the Atlanta Marriott Marquis. I’ll be signing books together with more than 400 other authors in a special event that raises thousands of dollars each year that go to literacy signings in the conference’s host state. As a RITA finalist, I’ll get to have a pretty blue flag on my table. I may be doing some audiobook giveaways and coupons courtesy of Tantor Audio at the signing, so if you live in the Atlanta area, please come!

Pamela Clare’s I-Team Party — Join me and Kaleo Griffith, the sexy voice/actor behind the I-Team audiobooks, for a special get-together. Meet us face to face, have us sign your books and audiobooks, and enjoy a tasty buffet and drinks. Space is limited, so RSVP as soon as you can.

Here are the details:

Where: The Media Room of the Atlanta Marriott Marquis, 265 Peachtree Center Ave., Atlanta, GA

When: Saturday, July 20, 3-4:30 PM

Admission: $30 per person to cover the cost of the buffet and drinks

RSVP by July 11!

If you’re already attending RWA as a writer or live in the Atlanta area and are just planning on coming to the public events as a reader, please join us!

In the meantime, I wish you a Happy Fourth of July if you live here in the U.S. and hope you’re having a great summer!

Yay! STRIKING DISTANCE is done! Cannot wait to read it.

Wish I were going to RWA. Instead, I'll be frantically packing and trying to figure out what to do for the month I'll be homeless between leases. But have loads of fun and take loads of pictures with Kaleo for those of us suffering from OKD :P
