Holding On (Colorado High Country #6) —
The Colorado High Country series returns with Conrad and Kenzie's story.

A hero barely holding on…

Harrison Conrad returned to Scarlet Springs from Nepal, the sole survivor of a freak accident on Mt. Everest. Shattered and grieving for his friends, he vows never to climb again and retreats into a bottle of whiskey—until Kenzie Morgan shows up at his door with a tiny puppy asking for his help. He’s the last person in the world she should ask to foster this little furball. He’s barely capable of managing his own life right now, let alone caring for a helpless, adorable, fluffy puppy. But Conrad has always had a thing for Kenzie with her bright smile and sweet curves. One look into her pleading blue eyes, and he can’t say no.

The woman who won’t let him fall…

Kenzie Morgan’s life went to the dogs years ago. A successful search dog trainer and kennel owner, she gets her fill of adventure volunteering for the Rocky Mountain Search & Rescue Team. The only thing missing from her busy life is love. It’s not easy finding Mr. Right in a small mountain town, especially when she’s unwilling to date climbers. She long ago swore never again to fall for a guy who might one day leave her for a rock. When Conrad returns from a climbing trip haunted by the catastrophe that killed his best friend, Kenzie can see he’s hurting and wants to help. She just might have the perfect way to bring him back to the world of the living. But friendship quickly turns into something more—and now she’s risking her heart to heal his.

In ebook and soon in print!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, I-TEAM SERIES! 10th Anniversary Celebration Giveaway

It started with a conversation with my agent.

“A state health official called to say he thinks my whistle-blower and I might be in danger. He saw the supervisor at the cement plant whipping up his employees and telling them that if this ‘lady journalist’ doesn’t back off, they might all lose their jobs. “They’re not going to write you letters to the editor,’ he told me. 'They’re going to beat the shit out of you with baseball bats.”

I wasn’t afraid. I’d gotten more serious threats in the past, including one lunatic who told me he was going to shoot me with his AK-47.

My agent was quiet for a moment. “You ought to write romantic suspense because you live it.”

“Yeah,” said I, “except for the ‘romantic’ part.”

Out of that conversation, the I-Team series was born.

Ten years ago today, Extreme Exposure, the first I-Team novel, was published. I had no idea on Aug. 2, 2005, where the I-Team series would take me or how much my readers would embrace the series and love the characters. I only knew I'd had a great time writing that story, putting the world of investigative journalism and elements of my own life on the page.

Extreme Exposure was followed by Hard Evidence and then Unlawful Contact. Somewhere in there, I realized I had created something special with characters that my readers and I adored. Now, the series includes seven full-length novels with Seduction Game coming out on Oct. 20, and four novellas, including Soul Deep, which was just released on June 28.

To celebrate, I’m giving away signed books in all languages in which the I-Team series is published.

Also, Berkley/NAL is giving away 10 sets of I-Team books on Goodreads. Click here to enter. (US only).

Later this week, I’ll be launching a Rafflecopter giveaway that will include a bound manuscript of Seduction Game. So there are lots of ways to win, lots of fun to be had. Stay tuned to make sure you’re part of all of it.

On this blog post, you can enter to win a signed copy of an I-Team book. Winners will receive a signed I-Team book in their language (UK winners will get the UK edition published by Eternal Romance). All you have to do to is post your favorite I-Team moment in the comments below. If you’ve never read one of the books, tell me you’re an I-Team virgin. The I-Team heroes will take care of that for you.

If you’re already an I-Team fan, you might be able to replace a dog-eared copy of one of your books with a shiny, new signed copy. If you’re new to the series, you’ll have a chance to catch up before Seduction Game is released.

Happy Birthday, I-Team!

And many thanks to the thousands of wonderful readers who have been so passionate about these stories and made this past decade such a joy!

Now, where’s the birthday cake?

Rules
Anyone on Planet Earth may enter. (My apologies to those who live elsewhere.)
This contest takes place on my regular blog, not on the Goodreads reprint of my blog, so Goodreads readers will need to make their way to my actual blog.
The deadline to enter is 11:59 on Aug. 8.
To enter, you must include contact info and your country in your post. You can breakup email addresses to avoid your email being lifted by spambots. Posters who leave no way for me to reach them will not be entered.
Only one prize per winner.
Winners will be chosen on Aug. 9 at random and notified by me.
Winners who fail to respond with their mailing info within 48 hours forfeit their prize, which will then go to another winner.
Winners in any given language are limited to the available number of prizes I have on hand.
These rules apply to this contest only and not the Goodreads or Rafflecopter giveaways.

In EE, when Reece and Kara are relaxing in a tub after all their ordeals and he stretches back and tell her you can touch me whenever you want to...or something like that. Also, love the Star Wars reference. :)

Oh my goodness. From the first moment I've read the blurb of Extreme Exposure I fell in love with it already. And that's just the start. I've been hooked to all your ITEAM members tho Hunter and Darcangelo are my most fave. Keep up writing. I love you and your books. Happy 10th. xx

Congratulations and thank you for creating such wonderful stories and characters! It is hard to choose just one favorite I-Team moment because there are so many. While Hard Evidence is my favorite novel, and Skin Deep my favorite novella, my favorite (heart-wrenching) moment occurs when Gabe cuts the rope in Naked Edge. I mean, wow. I am very much looking forward to Seduction Game and many more "favorite" moments!
THANK YOU! :)

Skin Deep is one of my favorite books. Nate finds love even though he never thought he would because of his looks.
So much pain. And so much courage. Other then the first night when he told her how he'd been burned, he hadn't spoken of his service with the Marines, keeping all the horrors he'd seen, all the things he'd done, all he'd suffered quietly to himself.

I also love in EE when Reece & Kara were relaxing in the hot tub and he told her she could touch anything she wants. I couldn't help but laugh

Congrats on 10 years of giving us, your readers, great stories. The only one I've read so far is Skin Deep and I loved it. I don't think I could give you a favorite moment as I enjoyed the entire story.
Here's to you and many more years of greatness.

Oh my gosh, one favorite scene?!?! If I must, it has to be from the first I Team book I read; Heaven Can't Wait. My favorite scene is the explosion and Will falls apart. I cry every time I read this part! Thank you, Pamela. This book introduced me to the greatest group of solid women and their over protective men. Love them all! Happy Anniversary!

I love this series. I think my favorite moment was in EE when Connor comes down the hall with Kara's "jiggley stick" at the start of her first date with Reece.

I have a couple of favorite scenes...in Naked Edge when Gabe was at a loss for words and Kat realized that if she were to take things further with him she'd just be a "failed chemistry experiment". I WAS GUTTED. I wanted to shake Gabe so bad. And in Breaking Point the pictures Joaquin took of Darcangelo and Hunter. The friendships that have developed throughout the series touches me so much! I'm hooked.

Congrats to 10 years of storytelling at its best Pamela!

I found Pamela Clare when Breaking Point was being released. A friend had posted the recommendation on her feed. I hadn't heard of your work prior to that, but read the excerpt and was hooked. Zach and Natalie went through horrific experiences together that had me cringing and feeling very in the moment with them. After having that experience, I snatched up every backlist book.

But I have to say my favorite moments where I just died laughing and felt the character was a real person, was reading Extreme Exposure. I waited to read the rest of I-Team until I had books 1-4 so I did't miss any of what the series was building up to. Kara McMillan made me nearly pee my pants. No filter to her thoughts after a few margs, but her dear friend Holly had no filter in life what so ever. lol Chapter One did me in! The whole drunken oral sex talk had me rolling! I knew after that Pamela Clare was going to be in my life for a long time.

I have so many favorite scenes, its so hard to pick just one! Pamela Clare outdid everyone with this incredible series of books. All the I-Team feels like family! Congratulations Pamela Clare!!

The most poignant moment for me was between Marc and Sophie...
“God, Hunt, what are we going to do?”
He cupped her cheek, his gaze burning into her. “Savor
the moment. That’s all we have. There’s no ‘happily ever
after’ for us, sprite. There’s now. Only now.”

I am SO GLAD he was SO WRONG!!!

I have read your MacKinnon's Rangers books and loved them. I have an I-Team book buried in my TBR Mountain and keep trying to get to it. As much as I enjoyed your historicals, I know I will need to read the whole series once I get started.

Congratulations on your anniversary. It is great to have you back.

Pamela, thanks for changing my reading habits. I have now discovered the joy of a "book hangover." Your I-Team continues to bring me laughter and makes me hold my breath (even if I've read the book before and KNOW what's going to happen.) I cannot wait to see what you have for us next. My favorite scene? So many, but off the top of my head? Zack explaining to Natalie the difference between an assault rifle, semi-auto pistol and his gun.

Congratulations!!! Definitely something to celebrate!!!!

Goodness, asking for my favorite moment out of all of them? Well, for the moment, I'll say the prologue for Unlawful Contact. It still remains one of the best prologues I've ever read, and sets up one of my two top fav ITeam stories (Breaking Point being the other) beautifully. The sweetness and innocence and love that grew from that one night.....

I do not really have one particular favorite moment, I-Team is one of my favorite series, I will say that Reece & Kara's story is my favorite

:)

I love the I team books. My favorite moment would have to the short story that was a bonus with Skin Deep -- when Marc and Julian go on a beer run. I love that the team hangs outs and BBQ's together and then manages to foil a liquor store robbery (netting themselves free booze) while running out for beer.

Hey Pamela! Congrats on the 10 year anniversary of The I-Team ;) I have to say that the first time I read an I-Team book was back on 2012 with Breaking Point. Then I, Gasp!, gave it away. But I kept thinking about it that book and your writing. Eventually I repurchased it again earlier this year. Then I wanted to read Naked Edge. I got it, but then checked your website and read the excerpts of the other books. That's when I knew I had to read them all. So I purchased the rest. I'm glad that I discovered them ten years later because it gave me the opportunity to read them all back to back. Now back to the question at hand. Although Breaking Point is dear to my heart for being my intro to the I-Team series, and there were many wonderful scenes throughout the entire series, the scene I find very memorable, and funny, was between Julian and Tessa. I can't remember how is started but it was when Julian told Tessa he was half Italian and she asks which half. He says the lower half! I cracked up! Really looking forward to Seduction Game. October can't come soon enough!

Best heartbreaking moment, when in Naked Edge, Gabe cut the rope to save Kat. Oh my gosh I really cried! For a moment I though he died.

My favorite moment? Did you mean moments? My favorite books are Hard Evidence, Unlawful Contact, and Breaking Point! In Hard Evidence, my favorite scene has got to be Julian taking Tessa to his home and taking her there for the first time. With Unlawful Contact, my favorite was the thrill of not knowing whether it's a happy ending or not! With Breaking Point, I loved the action near the end of the book. I love that everyone's there, and that Julian and Gabe and Marc were all helping Zach! These men are life!!!

Happy I-Team Anniversary!! I have loved this series for years, and I'm so excited that it's continuing on with Holly's book! I first found a used copy of Unlawful contact in the library and I'm so grateful that I did, that I got to read about all these great characters! It's so hard to choose a favourite moment. One of my favourites that always stands out in my head is from Breaking Point, near the end, the big action sequence and showdown. With what happens to Julian (yikes!), and the guys working to save Zach, it was so intense, and I just love reading about the bond these characters share and how they look out for each other.

Hello from America
Hard Evidence were Tessa's friends wanted a look at Julian, So he would oblige them.
They were watching from there little Toyota and he was in his truck.
And everybody looked guiltily at him except for the knock out blonde. Her gaze slid
over him in blatant sexual appraisal, a little smile on her face. And Julian knew
Tessa had told her friends she'd had sex with him.
For me these were friends that would always have your back.
Wonderful reading these books and thank you for writing them for us to enjoy.
